Gregory Evans was first introduced to the world of computers in the 7th grade, and hacked into his first computer in the 8th grade. He then started his first “Hacker for Hire” service before entering high school, where his clients ranged from students requesting grade changes to high profile attorneys seeking hacking services for their clients. He made his first million at age 22, and was arrested at the age of 28 for crimes against AT&T, Sprint, MCI and Worldcom. Not only did he take three cyber security companies public; he also received two humanitarian awards, and has since become a community benefactor, role model, and leader in the field of computer security. There has never been another computer security expert and/or computer hacker that has been an expert on CNN, Fox News, ABC News, History Channel, CBS News, NBC News, CNBC, Anderson Cooper Day Time TV Show, Entertainment Tonight, and US Weekly Magazine until Gregory Evans. Misty Diaz, aka Lil Misty, aka Biggie Smalls, aka the Toughest Girl in Obstacle Course Running (OCR), has always enjoyed pushing limits.
In early 1991, she would enter in 50 yard, 100 yard dash races, competing in her walker and sometimes crutches. Proving to herself nothing is impossible, while showing others you can do anything! Still hanging in her home are the very ribbons she won, 1st and 2nd place. A vivid reminder how far she has come.
Being born with Myelomeningocele the most serious form of Spina Bifida in 1984, Misty was already fighting. Having multiple operations just three days after being born premature, things were definitely going to be different, she just didn't know things would be this great.
After a series of 28 operations, her body had become weak. She lost the will to push herself as she did in the early days. Misty knew something had to change, so one day she began to walk from her house to the next block, then the next day block after that. She kept a routine and never stopped. Her 5k walk, turned into a 5k run in early 2012 when she signed up for a Ronald McDonald 5K.
Life has really changed for her, once she decided to get rid of old thinking and start fresh. She finally let go of all the labels people gave her and accepted the fact she was born with Spina Bifida, but that wasn’t going to stop her and she can use this as a way to help others.
Misty had so many questions with no real answers and no one to talk to who shared her condition. Now is her chance to be there to help others the way she wished someone would have been there to help her growing up.
Running has allowed Misty to raise awareness that even if you do things differently, you can still accomplish your goals. The biggest reward has been meeting so many kids and adults with Spina Bifida and having them tell her how much she inspires them. The greatest feeling is when she arrives in the airport and sees a little girl holding a sign saying "Welcome Misty”. These are the real rewards!
When she's not racing, she's training, mentoring kids with SB, encouraging other adaptive athletes, speaking in schools, or planning her next trip. She would like to race internationally and some day soon she would like to create a 5k Walk/Run to support those who are low income living with Spina Bifida.

Dr. Soram Khalsa - Enlightened Medicine. Conscious Living. Compassionate Healing
Since graduating medical school some 30 years ago, Dr. Soram has been on a journey in his private practice to bring his patients what he terms Enlightened Medicine. This philosophy of individualized care reaches beyond the boundaries of western medicine to include a broad spectrum of healing modalities to help a person get well and live well. His studies have taken him around the globe mastering disciplines that complement western medical science and expand the art of healing. His expertise includes nutritional supplements, homeopathy, acupuncture and functional medicine.
The fundamental premise of Enlightened Medicine is that the body is both simply complex and complexly simple. Dr. Soram's approach recognizes the broad web of interaction between organ systems and the body. An Enlightened Medicine approach means consciously looking beyond the obvious cause of dysfunction, taking into consideration a patient's whole being when preparing a diagnosis and recommending treatment. It also means being aware there are many complementary healing therapies that may be integrated to offer the optimal therapeutic benefits.
Dr. Soram's Enlightened Medicine philosophy incorporates two other equally important principals: Conscious Living and Compassionate Healing. Living in a fully conscious state being mindful of the choices one makes and understanding the implications of those actions to one's health are lessons that Dr. Soram strives to share with his patients. This type of sharing combined with listening and coaching is the active dynamic in Dr. Soram's commitment to being a compassionate healer. Dr. Soram has a highly respected and extremely successful private practice in Beverly Hills.
